Concrete Representations In Math
Manipulatives provide a hands-on approach to making sense of mathematics. Students who are not naturally abstract thinkers are more successful in math when they have had an opportunity to formulate concepts and rules through discovery and exploration.
Creating Virtual Learning Spaces
Many school districts across the United States made initial ‘return to learning’ plans under a hybrid model in the COVID19 era. Under a hybrid model, students attend school for in-person learning 2-3 times per week and complete e-learning activities on the other days. Now that the number of positive cases per day is on the rise and breaking previous record highs, many school divisions are amending their ‘return to learning’ plans and deciding to open schools virtually.
How To Use A Hundreds Chart

How To Prevent Summer Learning Loss
Summer slide is the phenomenon that occurs when students are not actively continuing learning activities when schools are closed for summer break. Some of these faces are of our nation’s pint-sized heroes: military kids. There are nearly 2 million military-connected children in the United States; 1.2 million are school-aged. Of these, only about 80,000 attend Department of Defense schools on a military installation, meaning that the vast majority of these students attend schools in the communities in which they live.
